On December 23, 1999, I wrote an essay called, “The Ultimate Learning Experience.” It was aimed at introducing a new course, The Executive Premier Workshop, to our subscribers. The whole idea of the EPW was to deliver an exceptional learning experience to users who were serious about making money with VectorVest. Not only was the content to be exceptional, but the venue as well.

The first EPW was given on January 18-20, 2000 in a beautiful hotel in Naples, Florida. It was a smashing success. The second EPW was held in another beautiful hotel in Phoenix, Arizona on March 10-12, 2000. I’ll never forget what happened.

I had watched CNBC after the market had closed on Friday, March 10th. Biotech stocks were going ballistic, and the IXIC closed above 5,000. The talking heads on CNBC were giddy. They jumped around like the market was going to the moon, but I was scared. The BSR was going down while the market was going up. This was not good. Read my Strategy guidance of March 03, and March 10, 2000. I told the EPW attendees “to sell their stocks.” Those that did were forever grateful. Those that did not, lost their shirts.

All of this is just to say that the EPWs were great events. We gave them for the next six years. About a year ago, we wanted to give EPW courses with VectorVest 7 RealTime, but could not find suitable facilities. So we decided to build our own state-of-the-art facility right in Cornelius, NC. We call it The VectorVest University Training Center and it is fantastic! Here’s a summary of its outstanding features.

• Two rows of curved walnut wood training desks and executive leather chairs provide an ideal viewing angle of the instructors’ screen and comfortable seating for up to 20 students
• Each station is equipped with a high performance HP Touch Screen desktop computer with a 23" display and wireless mouse and keyboard. The monitor can be tilted nearly flat so as not to obstruct the students’ view of the instructor and projector screen
• A custom made 24' Stewart projector screen and dual projectors providing 16,000 lumens of light. The large screen and powerful projection enables clear readability of numbers and text on screen from any seat in the room
• Cutting edge dimmable LED lighting system reduces eyestrain and motorized window shades provide ideal lighting levels
• Engineered heating and cooling system provides consistent temperature control without drafts
• Free Wi-Fi access
• All Lighting, Projection, Multimedia and Temperature functions are fully computerized and automated

• The comfortable reception and lounge area provides plush leather seating
• A flat screen HDTV
• Free Wi-Fi access
• Starbucks coffee and refreshments

Since we built The VectorVest University Training Center in order to teach the Executive Premier Workshop, that’s exactly what we’re going to do. We will also host other select events at the facility such as Trading As A Business and the VectorVest Options Course.
