The News Gadget displays breaking headlines for a particluar security or index. Articles are provided by Yahoo! Finance and may be viewed by clicking on the headline.
This Gadget is customizable. Left-clicking the Settings Icon allows you to select the type of news received. News choices include stock news (for a specific symbol), US Market News, Earnings, Top Stories, and Upgrades and Downgrades. You may type a specific symbol or company name into the selection box for Stock News, or they may drag a stock from any Viewer or QuickList and drop it directly into the News window.
The news feed will automatically display any new headlines every five minutes, or can be refreshed manually by left-clicking the Settings Icon, and then the "Refresh" button.
Multiple news feeds may be added to the HomePage and Dashboard.
