Editing a VectorVest Search

RealTime gives you the ability to edit any of the pre-existing VectorVest searches and save them under a new name.

To Edit a VectorVest Search:

1. Open UniSearch.

2. Click the name of the Group that contains the search you wish to customize.

3. Click once on the search to be modified. This will highlight the search name.  The criteria for the selected search will appear in the Criteria Grid to the right of the Search Directory.

4. Once the search has been selected, you may then add, remove or change any of the criteria for the search.

1. • To remove criteria, right click on the parameter you wish to delete then click "Delete Parameter".

   • To change criteria, click on the parameter or value you wish to change, and select from the available choices.

   • To add criteria, click in the empty space under Parameter and select from the available choices. Continue across.

Once you have made the appropriate changes, use the following steps to save the search:

1. Click on the Save Icon on the Search Directory Toolbar.  A Save Search window will appear.

2. Type in a name for the new search, then left-click on the Group in which you would like to store the search.

3. Select whether the search should be used for Long, Short, or Neutral trades.

4. Click "OK".

Note: If you change the criteria of a search and try to select another search before saving the current one, then you will be asked if you would like to save it. If selecting Yes then follow steps 2-4 as stated above.
