Viewing the Transaction Log

The Portfolio Manager also gives you the ability to view a list of each and every transaction which has occurred in your portfolio in chronological order.  This list includes cash deposits and withdrawals, interest paid or received, short sales and covers.

 

Using the transaction log, you are able to view, edit or delete any transaction you have made in your portfolio.  Please note that any time you delete a transaction, the effects of the transaction are removed from the portfolio.  That is, if you delete the sale of a Long position, its profits (or losses) will be removed from the portfolio.

 

Accessing the Transaction Log:

  1. Select a portfolio. The selected portfolio will be highlighted on the left side.

  2. Click the "Reports" Button on the Local Toolbar.

  3. Select "View Transaction Log".

  4. Click "OK" to close the window.

After reviewing the report, you may choose to Edit a transaction, Export, Print, or Close the information screen.

 

Exporting the Transaction Log:

  1. Select a portfolio. The selected portfolio will be highlighted on the left side.

  2. Click the "Reports" Button on the Local Toolbar.

  3. Select "View Transaction Log".

  4. Click "Export" at the bottom of the Transaction Log Window.

  5. Select a destination to save your file, and the file name box to type the name of the file.

  6. Click "Save".

The file will be exported as a .csv (comma separated value) file, and can be opened with Excel, or imported into compatible programs. Note: Proprietary information will not be exported.

 

Printing the Transaction Log:

  1. Select a portfolio. The selected portfolio will be highlighted on the left side.

  2. Click the "Reports" Button on the Local Toolbar.

  3. Select "View Transaction Log".

  4. Click "Print" at the bottom of the Transaction Log Window. The Print Window will appear.

  5. Click the Print Button to send the report to the printer.

 

Deleting a Trade using the Transaction Log:

  1. Select a portfolio. The selected portfolio will be highlighted on the left side.

  2. Click the "Reports" Button on the Local Toolbar.

  3. Select "View Transaction Log".

  4. Left-click on the stock or transaction to be deleted.

  5. Click "Delete" at the bottom of the Transaction Log Window.

  6. Click "Yes" to confirm the deletion.

    7.   The transaction will be removed and the portfolio will be updated.

 

Editing a Trade using the Transaction Log:

  1. Select a portfolio. The selected portfolio will be highlighted on the left side.

  2. Click the "Reports" Button on the Local Toolbar.

  3. Select "View Transaction Log".

  4. Left-click on the stock or transaction to be edited.

  5. Click "Edit" at the bottom of the Transaction Log Window. The Edit Transaction Window will appear.

  6. Make the desired changes to the date and/or time of the transaction, number of shares, price, commissions, or cost basis.

  7. Click "OK" when changes are complete.

  8. Click "OK" again to close the Transaction Log.
