- Open Internet Explorer
- Click File
- Click Open
- Type www.vectorvest.com
the box.
- Click OK
- You will be brought to our
homepage.
- Click the "Welcome VectorVest Members" button at
the top of the page.
- Enter your username and
password.
- Click Sign In
- Click the VectorVest OnLine
link at the left of the page.
- Click YES when prompted
to install
- You will be lead through
an installation. Anytime you
are prompted with a YES/NO
question, always click YES.
- Once done, you will be prompted
to restart your computer.
- When your computer restarts,
you will have an icon on your
desktop for VectorVest OnLine.

do I back up my personal data?

To back up your personal data,
follow these steps.
- VectorVest
OnLine
- On the main toolbar,
click Misc then click
Personal Data Wizard
- Select Backup Data.
- Click Next.
- When back up is complete,
click Finish.
- VectorVest
ProGraphics v6.0
By
default, ProGraphics 6.0 backs
up your personal information
every time you close the program.
However, if you want to manually
back up your information,
follow these steps:
- Click File then click
Backup data.
- Select Manually backup
data.
- Click Next.
- Select a folder for
the saved data.
- Click Ok.
- When back up is complete,
click Finish.

To restore your personal data,
follow these steps:
- VectorVest
OnLine
- On the main toolbar,
click Misc then click
Personal Data Wizard
- Select a restore option.
- Click Next.
- Select the file from
the list or click the
restore manually link
below the list.
- Click Next.
- When the restore is
complete, click Finish.
- VectorVest
ProGraphics v6.0
- Click File then click
Restore Data
- Select a restore option.
- Click Next.
- Select the file from
the list or click the
restore manually link
below the list.
- Click Next.
- When the restore is
complete, click Finish.
- This will restore your
personal data.
How
do I update my data with ProGraphics?

The Daily update is available
by 8:00 pm EST Monday through
Thursday and by midnight on Friday.
To update your data, click Download
on the main toolbar. The program
will connect to our server through
your internet connection and retrieve
the update. Once the data has
been downloaded, the program will
then proceed to update the database
on your machine. After the update
finishes, you will be able to
access the data.

Manager that allows you to track
multiple portfolios of your stocks.
Open the Portfolio Manager, create
a new portfolio and enter your
symbols. As you update your portfolio
you can view the equity curve
this portfolio generates. Included
are a variety of analysis tools
and reports.

search engine "the UniSearch Tool"
that allows you to screen over
8,000 stocks based on an almost
infinite combination of criteria.
Included in VectorVest is over
70 built in searches with descriptions
on what they were designed to
do. You can modify any of the
existing searches or build your
own from scratch to very accurately
pick stocks that closely match
your particular risk tolerance.

them by clicking the Research
-> Special Reports on the main

do I view a moving average of

In
order to use this feature, you
must have VectorVest ProTrader
installed.
- Click Graphs -> Market Timing
Graph -> Standard on the Main
Toolbar.
- This will bring up a Market
Timing Graph window.
- Select the MA1 box to add
a moving average to the graph.
- Click Price button next
to the MA1 box then select
Market Timing -> Timing ->
MTI.
- Now deselect all checkboxes
except MA1.
- This will display only the
Moving Average of MTI on the
graph.

do I transfer my settings from
ProGraphics 5.0 to Prographics

This
process will move your personal
information. (Portfolios,
Strategies, Trends and Watchlists)
- Install VectorVest OnLine
on the same computer 5.0
was on.
- Click the MISC button
on the main navigation
toolbar.
- Click Personal Data
Wizard.
- Click the down arrow
under the question "What
would you like to do?"
- Click 'Convert v5.0
data'
- Click Next
- Click Next
- Click Next (If VectorVest
5.0 was installed to a
different folder other
than VectorVest32, you
will need to click the
Change Folder button.)
- Click Next
- This process will take
several minutes. Do not
interrupt the process.
- Once done, click the
Finish button.
- ProGraphics
5.0 to ProGraphics 6.0
This
process will move your personal
information. (Portfolios,
Strategies, Trends and Watchlists)
- Install VectorVest ProGraphics
6.0 on the same computer
5.0 was on.
- Click Tools on the main
menu bar.
- Click 5.0 Conversion

menu.

- Click Misc.
- Click Personal Data Wizard.
- Click the down arrow under
'What would you like to do?'
- Choose Full Data Restore.
- Click Next.
- Under the box shown there
is a link that says 'To Choose
A Restore File Manually Click
Here'.
- An 'add backup file manually'
screen will open.
- Click the drop down arrow
at the top where it says 'Look
In'
- Click on your C:\ drive.
- Double Click on the Windows
folder from the list of folders
shown below.
- Double Click the VectorVest
BackUp folder.
- You will now see a bunch
of ZIP files.
- Double click on the most
recent zip file. To find out
which one is the most recent,
right click in the white area
next to the ZIP files. Then
move your mouse over VIEW
and then click on DETAILS.
You will now see all the zip
files in one column and then
if you scroll to the right,
you will see a column showing
you the date the file was
created. You want the most
recent one so double click
on it.
- Click YES when asked if
that is the file you want
to restore from.
- Once done, your portfolios,
watchlists and searches should
be just like they were in
ProGraphics 6.0.

do I transfer my settings from
OnLine to ProGraphics 6.0?

- Save
your data to your machine
that runs ProGraphics:
- Open VectorVest OnLine.
- Click on Misc from the
choices across the top
row of buttons.
- Click on Personal Data
Wizard.
- To the right of Please
choose: make sure that
Back Up Data is selected
from the drop-down choices.
- Click on Next.
- After about a minute
a ' Browse for Folder
' window will open, click
OK to save the file in
the VVOnlineBackup folder
by default.
- Click on Finish.
- Wait until the process
is completed and then
close the browser that
has VectorVest Online
- Import
the data into ProGraphics:
- Open VectorVest ProGraphics
6.0.
- Click on File in the
upper left corner of the
program, then click on
Restore Data.
- IMPORTANT:
Select Complete Personal
Data Restore or Partial
Data Restore depending
on the text beside
the choice.
- Click Next to continue.
- Under the box shown
there is a link that says
'To Choose A Restore File
Manually Click Here'.
- An 'add backup file
manually' screen will
open.
- Click the drop down
arrow at the top where
it says 'Look In'
- Click on your C:\ drive.
- Double Click on the
Windows folder from the
list of folders shown
below.
- Double Click the VectorVest
BackUp folder.
- Double Click the VVOnlineBackup
folder.
- You will now see some
ZIP files.
- Double click on the
most recent zip file.
To find out which one
is the most recent, right
click in the white area
next to the ZIP files.
Then move your mouse over
VIEW and then click on
DETAILS. You will now
see all the zip files
in one column and then
if you scroll to the right,
you will see a column
showing you the date the
file was created. You
want the most recent one
so double click on it.
- Click YES when asked
if that is the file you
want to restore from.
- Once done, your portfolios,
watchlists and searches
should be just like they
were in OnLine .
- Please
note that graph layouts
for technical graphs
will not be transferred
