VectorVest Express contains two search features for finding stocks: the Stock Find feature and the Symbol Lookup feature.
The Stock Find Feature
The Stock Find Feature can be found in the UniSearch Tool, WatchLists, Stock Viewer, and Market Indices Viewer. The Stock Find feature searches for a Ticker Symbol or Company Name within whichever datagrid is currently open (UniSearch Tool, WatchLists, Stock Viewer, or Market Indices Viewer). If you run a strategy in the UniSearch Tool and then use the Stock Find feature to try and find a particular stock, the Stock Find feature will only search for the Ticker Symbol or Company Name within the UniSearch Datagrid (which contains the result set that the strategy had returned). Similarly, using the Stock Find feature from the Stock Viewer will only search for stocks within the Stock Viewer Datagrid. Using the Stock Find feature from WatchLists will only search for stocks within the WatchList Datagrid. Using the Stock Find feature from the Market Indices Viewer will only search for Market Indices within the Market Indices Datagrid.
The Symbol Lookup Feature
The Symbol Lookup Feature is a global search feature. It searches Ticker Symbols and Company Names to try and find the best match for the text that was entered into the Lookup textbox. The Symbol Lookup Feature can be found on the Stock Analysis Page (click Research on the VectorVest Express Toolbar then click Stock Analysis) and the Stock Graph Page (click Graph on the VectorVest Express Toolbar then click Stock Graph ).
